• According to the State Committee for Statistics, half of Russian residents have been questioned in the All-Russian Census.  According to statisticians, the information gathered in the census will not be valid if more than 10% of the population refuses to take part in it.  According to polls, about 7% of residents in Moscow and St. Petersburg will not take part in the Census, but  the average throughout the country should not exceed 2-3%.
• The preliminary results of the All-Russian Census have been gathered in Chechnya.  The numbers are higher than was expected: 820,000 residents have been registered already, and census workers estimate that the population of the republic might exceed one million.
