Harvard School of Public Health
is sponsoring two conferences this November that will address pressing
national issues: the breakdown in public trust of large institutions and
the threat of bioterrorism.
The Public's Health:
A Matter of Trust will take place Nov. 13 through 15 in Boston. Presented
by HSPH's Program in Continuing Education, the symposium will address public
disillusionment with government, corporate and healthcare institutions.
With trust as the bedrock of effective healthcare, leaders and clinicians
from the health sector will learn practical steps for regaining the trust
of the communities they serve. For more information on the conference and
registration see the website.
BIOSECURITY 2002
will convene Nov. 18 thru 21 in Las Vegas. With a curriculum developed
by HSPH, Harvard Medical School and Harvard Medical International, the
conference will offer attendees an understanding of the current state of
preparedness for biological attack and the tools to develop practical solutions
to security challenges facing the global community. Internationally recognized
scientists and government professionals who are currently dealing with
the biological threat will teach the sessions. For information and registration
see the conference website.
